“Dr. David Chunnim, Koh Chang Resortel”
We loved Koh Chang Island and we really enjoyed staying at your hotel. You are a friendly, helpful and a genuine person, and we felt both welcomed and appreciated as guests. You gave us the best of advises and you fixed everything for us. As some might say, your hotel might be remotely located, but everything worth see and visit is only a 5 minute taxi away. If you want to live in the most crowded areas, with pubs and late night disco and music this is not the hotel for you. This is the more deserted and peaceful place for you to relax and get to meet up with similar people. If you have any complaints the hotel manager will fix everything for you.
You will meet a friendly staff, a genuine manager and a non-crowded hotel. Also worth mentioning; probably the best local Thai restaurant at the island is located just outside, by the main road and they do have a 50 meter pool which is used as training facilities for international teams.
Unfortunately, far too many people are concerned about the facilities at the hotel and will require a bar and restaurant on site. The manager is doing his best and will accommodate all your need and all venues are available by a 50 bath taxi trip.
Let’s face it, the competition at Ko Chang is tough, and it is not easy to be located in between the most popular areas.

“Thank you Mr. Chunnim!”
I had a wonderful time at this resort! It backs on to the sea (the views are beautiful), was a reasonable price, breakfast was good, it had two very nice pools and the rooms were pleasant. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and helped me to organise a wonderful and care-free stay on the island. The only thing that might put you off is that the hotel is a few kilometers from the sandy beaches… but that said, it is located between two and it was nice to be away from the bustle of the other resorts.

“Affordable, Really Decent”
Just got home to Bangkok today from this hotel, it was very good! We rented 2 rooms which were both nice and had no problems. Booth bathrooms looked to had been recently re-tiled. The staff were nice and helpful, there was free wifi in the restaurant and lobby, and in some rooms but our rooms did not get wifi. Breakfast was good, there was a selection of bread, cheese, ham, tuna, thai dishes and they cooked to order sausages, bacon, ham, omelet and eggs. There was also a variety of drinks and fruit.
I read a few negative reviews before staying here…but my experience was really good, perhaps it was the time of year we went (Thai new year, 3Thai public holidays). We rented out 2 scooters for 200 THB/day to explore the island, it is definitely the thing to do if you choose to stay there or anywhere on the island as taxis are expensive.
Room Tip: Book scooters, lots of fun and easy
